Digital circuits involve logic and memory, for application in computers calculators microprocessor and the like.By far the greatest volume of ICs has been in the digital field , since large number of such circuit are required . since digital circuits generally require only "on-off" operation of transistors ,the design requirement for integrated digital circuit are often less stringent then for linear circuits. Althought transistors can be fabricated as easily in integrated from as in discrete from passive element are usually more difficult to produce to close tolerance in ICs.
