Motorola V300 volume problem

I got a Motorola V300 (T-Mobile) the other week. I am noticing that the volume on calls is Very weak even with the volume turned all the way up. Highway noise easily drowns out callers. In a bar or corwded place? No way. I'm suprised there aren't any more complaints on the reviews for it. Is there a software fix out there? More details [1] - thanks to cnet.com
