T-Mobile Insert SIM problem

Ok so ive had my phone for bout a year and a half never touched the sim card or anything. but all of a sudden BAM! im txting my husband and it turns off and says insert sim.so i turned off my phone put the sim card into a different phone and it says the same thing. then i had my dad put his sim into my phone and his worked. so do u think i need a new sim card? if i do how much would it cost to get a new one?More details [1] - thanks to mobiledia.com
